A small biog taken from the South
Wales Echo Born in South Wales, the son of a
steelworker, Chris Burke started singing in his first
band at the age of 14. His later move to Reading provoked
him into
finding new outlets for his creative flair, although never
far from the spotlight fronting bands, Chris was able
to add song
writing to his considerable vocal talents. He found himself
commissioned by local bands to write their material, and
as the
front man of one of these bands appeared on Sky television.
Further requests came from the advertising world to pen
some
jingles for some notable companies.
He remains, as always a prodigious songwriter moving from
one project to the next with measured ease.
The common thread that runs through each of these burke
penned numbers however is a strong driving melody line
and an
irresistible lyrical hook.
