Biography
[supplied by artist]
The name - enQ
[pronounced eee-en-cue] - means, well, nothing at all really. We wanted
a name that was easy to remember but didn't signify anything. The
"meaning's in the music the words don't mean a thing" to quote one
of Brian's lyrics. Okay, the band is energetic, and noisy and a Quintet
but this just a coincidence really.
The music is a hard hitting fusion of original songs and instrumentals
that are a vital hybrid of pop / rock / funk & Celtic influences with
jazz and Latin grooves thrown in for good measure. The songs are virtually
all original - penned by members of the band - with a small number
of carefully selected covers to leaven the mix. The songs are about
life, love and the universe.
